ULI New York is pleased to invite you to our seventh annual update on the state of infrastructure investment and development.  Uwe S. Brandes, Senior Vice President, Initiatives and Director of ULI’s CLUE Initiative (Climate, Land Use, and Energy), will present the latest report, released by ULI and Ernst & Young, titled Infrastructure 2013: Global Priorities, Global Insights.  Assessing the state of infrastructure globally, the report connects strong infrastructure investment decisions to national and metropolitan prosperity and includes up-to-date information on the latest trends, challenges and innovations; highlights of transformative infrastructure investments from around the world; and insights from the infrastructure field’s leading experts and thinkers.  More specific to the United States, the report highlights the critical role of local and state governments in meeting national infrastructure demands.

Investment in our aging infrastructure system has never been more crucial for New York. Following his presentation, Mr. Brandes will facilitate an important discussion on the state of the region’s infrastructure and the critical need to harden our systems and build resiliency in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Attendees will hear from key decision makers from the New York State 2100 Commission, the City of New York, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the financial sector on how investment should be prioritized following Sandy, with the increasing risk of more frequent storms and the impending sea-level rise.

All attendees will receive a copy of Infrastructure 2013: Global Priorities, Global Insights
