Event Recap: WLI's Creating Spaces for Creative People
ULI New York's WLI hosted a special program - Creating Spaces for Creative People: Strategies for Developing Real Estate for Artists.
ULI New York’s Women’s Leadership Initiative is pleased to announced its 2017 recipient of the ULI New York Alice Connell WLI Scholarship, Jackie Manzer, Tenant Relations Manager at Hines. The Alice Connell WLI Scholarship celebrates exceptional women in real estate who have made significant contributions to the New York District Council and underwrites the cost to attend the 2017 ULI Fall Meeting in Los Angeles, California, including a reimbursement to the recipient for up to $1,000 in travel expenses.
Having served on ULI New York’s Young Leaders Group Programming Committee since 2014, Jackie became a Co-Chair of the Programming Committee on July 2017. Jackie has an excellent track record for executing YLG-exclusive networking events and programs.
This year, ULI New York’s WLI named the scholarship after a dear and mentor friend Alice Connell – who was the first chair of ULI New York and a founding member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the New York district council. Alice passed away earlier this year – and WLI unanimously agreed to name the scholarship in her honor. In April 2017, WLI hosted a fundraiser “Ride for Alice” at SoulCycle West Village to raise funding for this year’s scholarship, and the ULI New York District Council matched the fundraiser’s proceeds to fund this year’s scholarship.
Please join us in congratulating Jackie!
