A recent study conducted by Harvard’s Ethan Bernstein and Stephen Turban measured personal interaction and productivity after workers switched to an open office space. The study found face-to-face interaction decreased significantly and productivity declined in the open setting. While the open floor plan has proliferated during the past few decades, what is its future? This panel discussion will revisit the open floor plan concept and provide insight from the design and tenant perspectives. How do you optimally utilize office space?
