ULI WNY Presents: How Non-Profits Are Helping Fuel Buffalo’s Renaissance
Join ULI WNY for a panel discussing how local not-for-profit organizations are contributing to Buffalo’s construction and development boom! Evergreen Health – whose mission is to foster healthy communities by providing medical, supportive, and behavioral health services to individuals and families in WNY – will be used as a case-study example of not-for-profits contributing to this wave of new building and adaptive reuse projects throughout Buffalo and WNY.
The conversation will center on three aspects of not-for-profit development: project need, design, and funding. Panelists include Justin Azzarella, VP for Community Development with Evergreen Health, presenting on project need and organizational vision; Robert Fornataro, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Senior Associate – Project Architect from SWBR, speaking to the unique challenges of designing facilities for not-for-profit clients; and Steve Ald, Director of Real Estate Development, Southern Tier Environments for Living (STEL), discussing creative funding packages to assist not-for-profits in realizing their development goals and objectives. Nadine Marrero, Director of Planning for the City of Buffalo, will moderate.
AICP and AIA credits pending approval.
