Built By Women Call For Nominations
The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation (BWAF) is looking to identify 100 outstanding structures and built environments, contemporary or historic, that were designed and/or constructed by women for their Built By Women New York City recognition honor. BWAF, an organization dedicated to changing the building industry culture to allow for greater acknowledgement and respect of women’s work, is currently accepting nominations.
Built By Women nominations require that the structures and built environments must have been a woman-led design (architecture, engineering or landscape) or construction, from either the development or construction management team.
Nominations will be accepted from August 1 through October 31. The Built By Women New York City finalists will be announced in late November and the winners will be selected by a panel of jurors that includes female executives and principals of leading design and architect firms.
The contributions by women to the built environment will be highlighted over the coming year through walking tours, interactive maps, and other educational forums. The award winning projects will also be publicized through local events hosted by BWAF.
