ULI Western New York’s Young Leaders Group is excited to welcome Tuona Batchelor, Rebecca Gandour, and Maggie Hamilton Winship to the 2025 installment of YLG’s Secrets of Success series. This year’s focus will be on Shaping The Future Of Communities Through Land Use Policy And Economic Development
Tuona Batchelor leads the Office of Economic Development in Erie County’s Department of Environment & Planning, previously serving the Economic Development Coordinator at the City of Buffalo Mayor's Office of Strategic Planning and formerly the Regional Assistant to US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Rebecca Gandour is the Executive Vice President of the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC) and previously spent eight years as the City of Buffalo’s Director of Development at the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning. Maggie Hamilton Winship is a real estate development consultant and Associate Broker at WinsdorTurner. In her previous role she served as the Community Development Officer for LISC WNY.
All three panelists will discuss how they got started in land-use related fields such as real estate, economic development, policy, and planning, and their journey that led them to where they are today.
