    This virtual program will be a conversation exploring the current state of capital markets with leading voices in commercial real estate banking and finance. The diverse panel includes experts in market-rate and affordable housing finance, social impact real estate lending, bridge loans, CMBS & securitized debt, and long-term institutional lending. Topics include the impact of COVID-19 on capital availability, areas of resilience, and the future outlook for national and regional lending.
     
    Speakers:
    Kevin Coscia, Managing Director, Largo Capital
    Kevin is responsible for debt and equity placements throughout the US and Canada and also serves as Largo’s General Counsel. Kevin has over 10 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Finance and holds a B.S. in Finance from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University and a JD/MBA from the University of Miami. Most recently Kevin was with Stabilis Capital, a hedge fund located in New York City, focusing on opportunistic and distressed investments. Prior to this, Kevin was a Senior Associate at LNR Partners in Miami Beach, FL where he resolved over 90+ non-performing loans with a principal balance of over $1.5 Billion. He is an active member of the State Bar of New York and Florida.
     
    Kristin Maletta, Production Manager, Farm Bureau Financial Services
    Kristin Maletta is responsible for new loan production, management, and servicing of commercial mortgage loans across the eastern half of the United States. Kristin also directs portfolio strategy related to Farm Bureau's real estate holdings including overseeing the production of $120 million in commercial loans in 2020. Prior to joining Farm Bureau Financial Services Kristin spent 13 years with Principal Global Investors. She holds a B.A. in Finance from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from Drake University. 
     
    Matthew Nelson, Production Manager (New York), Sabal
    Matthew Nelson supports Sabal’s Fannie Mae Small Loan Program, Freddie Mac Small Balance Loan Program, and CMBS platforms. Prior to joining Sabal, he spent more than four years at Community Preservation Corp., where he helped build and grow its agency debt lending platform in partnership with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae with a focus on small balance and affordable housing lending. Matthew holds a B.S. in Social Sciences from University of Maryland University College.

    Shivan Perera, Vice President - Real Estate Debt & Syndication, AVANA Capital
    Shivan specializes in CRE lending and risk management, providing tailored SBA and conventional lending solutions to clients. Shivan attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and received a B.A in Organizational Psychology and a B.A. in Criminology, and began his financial career in retail banking for Wells Fargo. Founded in 2002, AVANA Capital (part of the AVANA Companies family) is a private commercial real estate lender and asset manager with SBA loans, construction financing, bridge financing and USDA financing platforms specializing in niche industries including hospitality and renewable energy.

    Lindsay Macaluso, Managing Director, Largo Direct, Largo Capital
    As Managing Director of Largo Direct, Largo’s tech-enabled capital markets platform connecting borrowers and their advisors with equity and debt opportunities throughout the US & Canada, Lindsay leverages data and AI to secure capital that most effectively executes clients’ real estate strategy. Prior to joining Largo, Lindsay was a NYS licensed commercial real estate appraiser before joining the acquisitions team at a hospitality-focused private equity firm where she sourced, underwrote, and closed investment opportunities nationwide. Lindsay holds a B.A. in English from the University of Rochester as well as Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a Master of Business Administration degrees from the University at Buffalo.
