ULI New York Young Leaders Group: In-Person Tour of The Spiral in Hudson Yards

The Spiral features a cascading series of landscaped terraces and hanging gardens as its signature element. The terraces ascend, one per office floor, in a spiraling motion to create a unique, continuous green pathway that wraps around the façade of the tower. The BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group-design ensures that each tenant on every office floor will have access to lush outdoor terrace space. Built to a LEED Gold Standard, the 65-story, 2.8 million square-foot tower will also feature soaring ceiling heights complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive views of Midtown, Central Park, the Financial District and the Hudson River.
Located at the intersection of the High Line and the four-acre Bella Abzug Park, The Spiral rises 1,031 feet and encompass a full block stretching from West 34th to West 35th Streets and from 10th Avenue to the park. The base of the building will include a lobby with ceiling heights of up to 28 feet and entrances on Hudson Boulevard East and 10th Avenue. The base also will include approximately 25,000 square feet of first-class retail.

Mr. Field joined Tishman Speyer in 2018 to lead leasing for the company's New York City portfolio, comprising approximately 22 million SF. Previously, he served as Vice Chairman at Cushman & Wakefield Inc., where he was a leading commercial leasing broker for 30 years, active in both tenant representation and agency leasing. Leveraging this experience, his focus is on proactive outreach - to existing tenants in the Tishman Speyer portfolio, potential new tenants, and to the brokerage community - all to preserve and raise the Tishman Speyer brand in the uniquely competitive New York City market. Mr. Field received his BA from Harvard University, where he studied American History.

Greg Conen joined Tishman Speyer in 1999 and currently leads our leasing efforts at the Spiral, Tishman Speyer’s 2.8 million SF development in Hudson Yards. In addition, Greg is involved in leasing at Morgan North, a 600,000 SF redevelopment on the West Side of Manhattan. Greg also runs leasing for two properties in Midtown Manhattan, 666 Third Avenue and 11 West 42nd Street. Greg began his tenure with the company as an associate in the Chicago office, working with the leasing and acquisitions teams before relocating to New York to focus on leasing activities. He is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York and is involved with the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey. Mr. Conen holds a BA in marketing and advertising from the University of Wisconsin.
