Are you ready for the 2013 ULI Fall Meeting, to be held Nov. 5 to 8 in Chicago? ULI’s local District Council has the inside scoop on the places to visit for ideas that will work for your business, your community, and you. Early registration for the Fall Meeting opens soon.
In this first installment, get to know:
Bloomingdale Trail: Work begins this summer to transform an abandoned 2.7-mile stretch of elevated railway into the Bloomingdale Trail, Chicago’s only pedestrian greenway and bike path running east to west. The trail will ultimately connect pedestrians and cyclists to trails that stretch all the way to the Indiana state line. Read more about Bloomingdale Trail at Urban Land.
Divvy Bikes: Divvy Bikes has added a new option to the Chicago bike rental scene. Designed as a transportation option, the bikes can be used to get around the city or for a short ride along the lakefront. Adventurous attendees of the 2013 ULI Fall Meeting can pick up a bike at the station at McCormick Place! Read more about Divvy Bikes at the Examiner.
