ULI NY Holds Expert Panel on Public Private Partnerships

ULI NY hosted a unique panel of experts at a sold-out program titled “Public Private Partnerships: A Global Perspective.” Moderated by Dolly Mirchandani of Allen & Overy LLP, the panel explored the global history of the public private partnership (P3s) and identified strategies for implementation regionally.

In the first session, panelists discussed the P3 from a macroeconomic perspective and compared the advantages and challenges presented by contemporary global models.

The second session covered the debt and equity perspective. Speakers discussed typical bidders and motivations for investing and developing, exploring funding options and alternative solutions to P3s for several scenarios and drawing from global case studies to highlight the importance of deal structuring and risk. The program concluded with a discussion of the emerging P3 sector and a question and answer session.
