KISI Wins First RETech Challenge

Congratulations to KISI for winning this years RE:Tech Challenge! KISI, a cloud-based access control app, allows users to swipe their door open from their smartphone. The app also allows users to manage and track key access through a secure and encrypted web interface.

Held at WeWork – Charging Bull on Tuesday, June 24, the Real Estate Tech Hacker Challenge, RE:Tech Hacker Challenge Demo Day was judged by a group of esteemed real estate and tech industry leaders. Judges included Dmytro Pokhylko, NYCEDC; Jesse Middleton, WeWork Labs; Chase Mattison, Salesforce.com; James Nelson, Massey Knakal; and Alexander Pease, Union Square Ventures. These individuals helped determine the most impactful start-ups and enhance the New York Real Estate Tech Eco- System!

The most successful submissions introduced new ways for customers or professionals to engage and enhance the real estate experience in one of the following areas: Leasing, Brokerage, Property Management, Investment Sales, Appraisal/Valuation, and Development/Design/Architecture, in Commercial and/or Residential Real Estate. From simple additions like integration with social media platforms to more elaborate search, leasing, and management platforms.
