Join ULI New York for a panel discussion on the dynamics involved in increasing affordable housing throughout neighborhoods in New York City. Often there are two opposing viewpoints when it comes to developing new housing: Not In My Back Yard (NIMBY) or Yes In My Back Yard (YIMBY). This panel will explore these conflicting viewpoints and address questions such as: What are the real impacts of rezoning efforts that allow greater development? What are the negative impacts? What are the benefits? Who is pushing back and why? How can the negative impacts be mitigated?
